99. Saying the words: 'da-iman abadan...' after the iqamah? ഇഖാമത്തിന് ശേഷം 'ദാ-ഇമാൻ അബദാൻ...' എന്ന ദുആ?
Q- I have a question pertaining to a common practice of people after the iqamah is made for salah. They say:Da’iman abadan la ilaha illaha Muhamadan Rasulullah. Does this practice have any basis in our tradition and if not, is there anything masnun prescribed for after the iqamah is made?

Haven’t seen these words or any other form of reply to be recited after the iqamah is completed in the popular Hadith sources that I have referred to.
Summary of fatwa
1. There is no du’a to be recited before the adhan in any authentic hadith. 2. There are no specific words to be recited before the iqamah in any authentic hadith. 3. Du’a is highly recommended between the adhan and the iqamah. 4. There is no du’a after the iqamah. 5. It is Sunnah to repeat what the muadhdhin is saying.

And Allah Ta’ala Knows Best
