Q- I have heard that the rose plant was developed as a result of the sweat of Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam).How authentic is that statement?
The claim of the rose plant being created from the perspiration of our Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) has been declared/acknowledged as a fabrication by several Hadith Masters, like: Hafiz Ibn ‘Asakir- cited others, Ibnul Jawzi, ‘Allamah Nawawi, Hafiz Ibn Hajar Al-‘Asqalani, ‘Allamah Sakhawi, ‘Allamah Suyuti, Ibn ‘Arraq and Mulla ‘Ali Qari as well as others (rahimahumullah).
