Q- Is the following authentic?Sayyidah ‘Aaishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) says:“Once I was once seated sewing/threading and Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) was mending his shoe. The blessed forehead of Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) began trickling with perspiration. Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)’s perspiration began to emit light (Nur) so I became astonished. He then looked at me and asked, ‘What is the matter O ‘Aaishah, you seem perplexed’? I explained to him that his perspiration was emitting light and said, ‘If Abu Kabir Al Hudhali [A poet] had to see you, he would realise that his poem applies to you. Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) asked her, ‘What were the words of his poem’? She replied, ‘When you to look at his face, it shines and glitters like an approaching cloud in the horizon [which is visible to everyone].’Sayyidah ‘Aaishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) says, ‘(Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) then stood up and kissed me between my eyes and said, May Allah reward you O ‘Aaishah, You are like that to me and more.”?
Imam Bayhaqi (rahimahullah) has recorded this narration with his chain of transmission which contains a very weak narrator.(As Sunanul Kubra, vol. 7 pg. 422/423. Refer: Lisanul Mizan, 5 pg. 482 -number: 5308-, Siyaru A’alamin Nubala, vol. 17 pg. 22)
‘Allamah Dhahabi (rahimahullah) has declared the Hadith ‘munkar‘. (Which in this case refers to the unreliability of the text of this narration). (Al Muhaddhab of Hafiz Dhahabi, Hadith: 12046)
‘Allamah Jamalud-Din Abul Hajjaj Al Mizzi (rahimahullah) before citing this narration under the biography of one of the narrators who appear in this chain of transmission says, ‘From his strange narrations’ (Min gharaibi hadithihi). (Tahdhibul Kamal, vol. 28 pg. 319. Also see Hilyatul Awliya, vol. 2 pg. 45/46 and Tarikh Baghdad, vol. 15 pg. 339/340)
