Perhaps you are referring to the Hadith which Imam Hakim (rahimahullah) has recorded on the authority of Sayyidah ‘Aaishah (radiyallahu ‘anha). It has been reported on the authority of Sayyidah ‘Aaishah (radiyallahu ‘anha) that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said: ‘Do not lodge them in rooms, nor teach them writing [i.e. women]. Teach them sewing and Surah Nur.’ (Mustadrak Hakim, vol. 2 pg. 396)
